Gakuto Notsuda managed to extend the goals tally for the Japanese to three in the 60th minute although the Singaporeans managed a consolation through Shamil Sharif seven minutes before the final whistle. The Samurai Blue now top the table on goal difference above second-positioned Australia. The Australians had a early lead when Riley Paul Woodcock struck just two minutes into the game with a brace by Luke Anthony O’Dea’s after seven and 13 minutes setting the Australians on their way. However the Macau team made sure the Australians had a nervy ending when De Jesus Morais Alves Vinicio netted in Macau’s first goal after 19 minutes and Leong Ka Hang cut the deficit further with his 78th minute goal. Hosts Indonesia, meanwhile, sit on third position after beating Timor Leste 2-0 through Nurmufid Fastabiqul Khoirot and Agung Supriyanto after 42 and 85 minutes respectively.
