Jordan bow out of Arab U-20

jordan 300x200Amman: AFC U-19 Championship 2012 participants Jordan drew 0-0 with Sudan and bowed out of the Arab U-20 Championship 2012 having finished at the bottom of Group A on Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia finished as the best team in the group and advanced to the semi-final on July 15 where they will meet the best runners-up from all the three groups competing in the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA)’s competition.
Jordan managed to get two points from the three matches whereas Kuwait, who will also be in action in the U-19 continental championship, finished third with three points, while Sudan are at second spot with four points.
Seven AFC member associations and five member nations of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) are competing in the tournament on July 4-18 hosted by Jordan.
Jordan have DPR Korea, Uzbekistan and Vietnam as rivals in Group C of the AFC U-19 Championship whose group stage will be held on November 3-8. Their campaign begins against DPR Korea on November 4.
